Filling the new INSTA-FILL bottle is as simple as pouring water into a glass. The top can remain open, because the INSTA-FILL bottle is designed using a new lever-activated water delivery system that does not need a vacuum to function. Once the bottle is securely mounted onto the cage, the vented upper cap can be removed, fresh water added and the cap replaced to keep out feed particles, dust and dirt.

This easy filling method encourages young children to participate in the care of their pet, makes refilling the bottle easy for the handicapped or persons limited by arthritis, and is convenient for busy on-the-go households.

Notice for owners of Insta-Fill Water Bottles manufactured prior to August 1998

While cleaning and/or refilling your Insta-Fill Water Bottle, check to make sure the stainless steel lever protrudes approximately 1/8 th of an inch from the tube. If the lever has been pushed in it can be easily pushed back to its original position using a standard wooden pencil with a rubber eraser. Using the eraser end of the pencil. simply insert it into the back of the cap as shown and push the lever back into its proper position. NOTE: This valve has been tested extensively on small animals with rare instances of animals pushing the lever up into the tube during use. Regularly check the valve tip to insure that the lever is not inadvertently displaced. Valves manufactured after August 1998 have the lever totally encapsulated to prevent any displacement of the lever.
