LOCATION OF THE BUILD-A-NEST™ :

Select one or more areas of your yard where wild birds have been observed feeding or bathing. You can use multiple Oasis Build-A-Nest kits near natural secluded nesting site possibilities (look for good leaf cover and lack of easy access by predators.)

Place BUILD-A-NEST dispensers in your yard at various heights and locations. This will help all types of birds get a sufficient supply throughout the nesting season.

Hang or mount Build-A-Nest near feeders or birdhouses where you want to encourage occupancy. Place the dispenser near a branch or other perching spot to allow the birds a stable and safe place to land and sit while gathering nesting materials. Build-A-Nest dispenser may also be wedged into branches of  shrubs or suspended using wire in a manner that will not trap birds.

To mount with string: pass loop of natural fiber string through hanger hole, thread the string ends through loop and tie ends around branch, trunk or post.

HOW TO MOUNT THE BUILD-A-NEST™ DISPENSER:

Remove the cardboard along the dotted lines below. Place package against tree trunk or fence post with this side facing out - use a small nail to affix firmly into place. The package may also be attached using string as shown below in a way that will not trap birds or entangle birds’ legs and feet. Following nesting season, recycle the entire package. After the baby birds have left the nest, cotton nesting materials will biodegrade throughout the season.
