Oasis Herbal Skin Healing Cream with Vitamin E is ideal for use with dogs and cats of any type.  When the need for a healing cream does arise it is very important that the cream being used is natural and safe. Safe if ingested – which is a factor particularly with cats who groom themselves constantly. Both dogs and cats will naturally attempt to clean off anything on their fur coats – be it blood, excretions from a wound such as pus, or the medication you apply to treat the conditions.

Human liquid treatments such as first aid sprays, mercurochrome or merthiolate should never be used on a dog or cat; nor should creams such triple-antibiotic formulas unless directed by a veterinarian. All species react to treatment elements differently – so what might be safe for use on a human can in theory be fatal to a dog, puppy, cat or kitten.

CONDITIONS THAT MIGHT REQUIRE TREATMENT:

Oasis Herbal Skin Healing Cream with Vitamin E is effective when used on dry or cracked paw pads, calloused areas such as found on ”elbows” and for generalized surface skin dermatitis which can progress to ”hot spots”. Irritated or raw skin that is a reaction to fleabite allergic reactions can be soothed with this cream following a good flea eradication treatment.

One of the highest risks to both dogs and cats is exposure to household items such as carpet deodorizing powders or sprays, insect control products, or fertilizers and weed control products used on lawns.  If contact causes inflammation or skin reaction, be certain that all residue is cleaned off of the pet’s legs and feet, and apply the cream to the footpads as needed. Fro dogs that are allowed access to areas that may have foxtails and cockleburs, the areas between the toes can become very irritated.  Remove any prickly weeds and apply the cream between the toes.

Even carefully kept dogs and cats can and do suffer injury such as minor cuts, lacerations, abrasions, burns (from heat lamps or other heat sources, contact with space-heaters or cooking stoves or equipment), skin irritations and bite wounds.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: If possible, have a second person hold the dog or cat in need of treatment.  Cats might do better if they can be "toweled” – wrapped snuggly in a bath towel to secure body and feet. Open the towel to expose the area in need of treatment. Clean the affected area as best you can. If area is covered with hair, it is best to shave or clip area if possible to ensure best application and results. Apply Herbal Skin Healing Cream with Vitamin E as often as necessary, keeping the healing skin coated and soft during the healing process.
