Oasis Herbal Skin Healing Cream with Vitamin E is ideal for use with small animal pets of any type.  When the need to treat a pet does arise it is very important that the cream being used is natural and safe. Small animals will naturally attempt to lick and clean off anything on their fur coat – be it blood, excretions from a wound such as pus, or the medication you apply to treat the conditions.  Oasis Herbal Skin Healing Cream is safe if ingested by the pet. 

A human liquid treatment such as first aid sprays, mercurochrome or merthiolate should never be used on a small animal; nor should creams such triple-antibiotic formulas unless directed by a veterinarian. All species react to treatment elements differently – so what might be safe for use on a human can in theory be fatal to a small animal.

INJURIES THAT MIGHT REQUIRE TREATMENT:

Single caged pets are usually fairly safe.  Most in-cage injuries occur due to inappropriate cage construction (cage bars too widely spaced, doors that can trap a pet’s head or limbs, falling off of high second story platforms) or broken cage parts (loose cage bars ends that have come un-welded.)

Most sore feet occur due to contact with incorrect bedding materials (never use cedar or any other aromatic wood shavings.) Multiple pets caged together in regular single-pet sized cages can be over-crowded, which will encourage dominant animals to become aggressive towards their cage-mates. Fighting between pets can result in bites, torn ears, and scratches. Allowing out-of-cage exercise also exposes pets to risks of injury due to exposure to skin irritants from cleaning products.

Pet animals can and do suffer injury such as minor cuts, lacerations, abrasions, burns (from heat lamps or other heat sources, contact with space-heaters), skin irritations and bite wounds (from cage-mates or other household pets.) Oasis Herbal Skin Healing Cream with Vitamin E for Small Animals is effective when used on foot sores that can escalate into a swollen infected foot known as Bumble-Foot. Using this cream on freshly tattooed or ear-tagged animals is also beneficial.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Clean the affected area as best you can (if area is covered with hair, it is best to shave area to ensure best application and results.) Apply Herbal Skin Healing Cream as often as necessary, keeping the healing skin coated and soft during the healing process. There is no need to apply a thick coating in most cases – a thin coat can be just as effective.  In case of nursing mothers, babies may get some residue on their face and head during nursing – this is normal and harmless.
